Multilingual Collaborative Poetry Workshop

This workshop was born out of a discussion about how languages change our perception of information (and how we zone out while reading theory in English).  Experimenting with ways of sharing knowledge beyond constrains of dry factuality, Making Poems With Others put us into interaction with other languages sounds, symbols, images, writing systems, and, consequently, ways of experiencing the world.

After a short theoretical introduction, participants were invited to play with writing methods, creating poetry with their native tongues, bank of poems from China, Thailand, US, Ukraine, Korea and Caribbean, collage and even WhatsApp predictive text algorithm!
